This Blog is run by Eugene Macri, Aquatic and Environmental Scientist .  Gene is a nationally known scientist and has worked on some of the most famous streams and rivers in the US.   His pro bono work with the late Dr. Jack Black was instrumental in closing the Big Spring Hatchery on the famed Big Spring Creek and returning the stream to its world class status as a premier spring creek.  Macri has worked in variety of stream environments from AMD streams to spring creeks. He is a professional stream restoration and riverkeeper and has worked for the non profits, industry and private concerns. He is also a professional fly fisherman, instructor, guide and professional graphic artist and photographer. He gives seminars and is available for stream analysis and consulting.
